So ... this tiny tiny thing-ette in the RT is all I know about the appearance of SFA at Glastonbury.
BUT ... BUT ... what I've been thinking about is .... what about that little phrase " In a fug of Welsh psych-rock."
The word "fug" is only a gnat's whisker away from the Welsh "ffug = fake, false."
Could this be a sneaky, under-the-radar way of telling us readers that something was being "faked" here? ... Maybe REM dressing up a SFA and doing a few songs... they've got form for doing that sort of thing, having once disguised themselves as their support band, "Bingo Hand-Job" and supporting themselves so convincingly that nobody in the audience realised ! By the way, I've been "shoved" by one of REM, but I don't know which one.
It's a thought anyway. But now here's the "effortlessly cool" Y Gwefrau with "Miss America" ...
