But yesterday I sort of added to the idea. Yes.
I decided, as a sort of long-term project, to gradually go through all of my books ( erk!) (eek) !! and not just translate the title into Welsh, but ... and this is the juicy bit ... I'm writing the Welsh title under the "real" one on the flyleaf or the Title Page whatever it's called. !! It's a bit of a Forth Bridge sort of long term project but it has its good points....
[a] It will keep me out of mischief for a while. About 37 years... I would think...
[b] It will be Terrific For My Welsh ... I would think.
[c] I will no doubt find lots of books I haven't seen for years.... I would think.
[d] I will be able to do it with my Spanish, French, Russian, German and, er, Latin books too.
[e] ... I would think.
[f] That would be terrific for them as well.
[g] After I've done all the chess books I'll probably remember how to spell gwyddbwyll....
[h]... I would think ..though apparently I could cop out and just write "sies". I would think.
[i] When I'm dead and gone...probably both ... my partner in life will take all my books in a huge lorry to various charity shops, and people will buy them. I would think.
[j] And then they will open them and see the mysterious words under the title and think ..
[k] ....what's that ? Which will be a good thing. I would think.
[l] Now then ... I would think that a lot of you are wondering what "Y Jenguin Pennings" means.
[m] It's the title of this thing I'm writing now.
[n] Well, it's a book by one Paul Jennings. If you don't believe me, ....
And now, here's a song I put on here right at the dawning moments of this bloggy thing...
It's Huw M and the lovely "Ond y dawel daw y dydd" ....
Os mewn sŵn y daw y nos.
Ond y dawel daw y dydd.
