As you can see, the idea is to think up one-word pithy answers to just about anything. That way you don't have to worry too much about annoying things like grammar and , er, manners.
You can even do it in response to lots of English stuff ... you get far more chances to try it that way, what with us being suffocated under that " blanket of English" .. you hear all sorts of stuff on Corrie or Peaky Blinders or Strictly that you can think up a one-word Welsh response for ... it might not be appropriate, or polite, or even completely accurate but what the hell! You're using your Welsh ... and that's the important thing.
Ena Sharples : " What's for tea then Stan ?"
you : " Trôns"
Len whats-his-name : "What's your partner like in rehearsals then ?"
you : " Meddw"
Donald Trump : " Who voted for me then ?"
you: "Tinau"
Gary Neville : " Which player will Arsenal need to bring in to have any sort of chance ?"
you : " Duw"
That actor " I told you to blow off the bloody .. ?"
you : " Drysau"
Quiz-master :" A collection of Witches is known as a ...?"
you : "Popty"
Newsperson:" How would you describe the state of our Brexit plan ?"
you : " Pelau"
Shopkeeper " What is it you want four of again ?"
you : " Canhwyllau"
Well you've got the idea ....what fun eh ? And I have to say, it's a bit addictive.
Also, advanced students can go on to try two-word responses. Oh yes !
But now, it's Yr Ods and the stirring " Dadansoddi" ( ateb : Pam ?)
