Ages ago I wrote about some famous misprints, either accidental or deliberate, in Welsh bibles. I expect that that thing I wrote a few days ago about the absence of the tortoise in my Welsh bible that made me remember. Leviticus 11:29 is where it isn't.
Here's a link to the fantastic Bible misprints thingy ...

Anyway, I've also found out about a smashing misprint in The Mabinogion, in the chapter about Culhwch and Olwen. Yes. That's narrow-sow and wheel to you. I think.
Anyway, there's a banquet with all the usual stuff, drinking-horns, etc, and they also get served " hot peppered chops". But, apparently in one edition, now very rare and highly sought after because it got withdrawn as soon a people discovered it, they used the word "sglodion" instead, which I expect happened because of the chops/chips similarity. What's really funny though, is that that particular edition with the misprint in it is called by collectors of those sorts of things "The Mabinsglodion" which is just perfect. Perfect. you couldn't make it up.
I found that more or less by chance, and another nice serendipitous thing that happened today was hearing Gyda Gwen playing on the car radio when I switched it on ... I don't know what station it was because the station thingy is always getting nudged about. It's odd because I put it on here just a few days ago ... so I'm putting "Gwe" on now .... which, also oddly, is hidden inside Gyda gWEn ... Gosh. In an infinite universe, everything that can happen will happen ... an infinite number of times.
