Here's an English game of Clabbers ...... remember English ? It was popular once.... can you see what's going on?
So what, you might ask .. I will show you the sort of differences it makes with a short Welsh version of Clabbers/Scramble" which will make it all clear ... or lal larce if you like. Here's the first "go" .... Cerys Matthews (CM) has put drw down, which is an anagram of dwr. She could just have put dwr if she had wanted to, but she didn't. We're ignoring accents by the way. That's why I haven't written it as dŵr/ drŵ .
Plus, being able to put the A down there, the word tenau/uneat stretches up so that the U at the top reaches the double word square. Handy. Right.. on to the next move ... Cerys again..
I think that's enough to show you the fascinating extra dimensions ot the game you get with this version of the game.
